The British are coming, the British are coming! Yes today and tomorrow Sinchon Literature Street will see an invasion of the British kind. The university neighbourhood will play host to The Great Britain Festival all day today and tomorrow. One of the highlights of the festival will be a performance from the The Coldstream Guards. The military band will be decked out in full regalia (those little fuzzy black hats and red jackets) providing excellent selfie material so be sure you don’t miss out. The performances are scheduled From 7pm-8pm on Friday & 12pm-1pm & 6pm-7pm on Saturday.
The festival will host stalls from the best of British brands including ASOS, Accessorize, Land Rover, British Airways, and Lush. There will also be screening of the new Bond 007 Spectre trailer.
However in my eyes the most important part of the festival is the food! My favourite British hangout Bulldogs will be serving Scotch eggs, Bangers, and Fish & Chips for exceedingly low prices!
There is also the most adorable caravan and deck chair area dolling our tea, coffee and Victoria Sponge. They very kindly let me try one and I have to say they were absolutely delightful, Mary Berry would be very impressed.
Super Jam are also in attendance hosting a stall and selling all their spectacular sugar free jams, preserves and spreads.
For entertainment the Play Bus is around, as well at street performing piano players.
The festival is on today Friday October 2nd 12pm-8pm and tomorrow Saturday October 3rd 12pm -8pm. To get there take a train to Sinchon station (line 2) and come out of exit 2 or 3 and walk straight you cant miss it.
