While the Bulmer’s apple cider you posted is indeed the one produced under the UK branding, I believe the pear ciders are both the same. They have the same branding as in Ireland, and the Bulmer’s can even says Irish Pear Cider. This is the UK branding of the range: http://bit.ly/13XY8HO. I’m not sure if that particular pear cider is available in a can, but the apple cider can is similar in branding to the bottle.

I haven’t been to Bonny’s, though, so I haven’t seen the one for sale in Korea.

Great list, still!

I found this online, apparently it's all due to family falling out. There isn't much between them .

The Bulmers brothers fell out and one moved to Ireland but they have the same recipes and therefore the same products. Bulmers Original (S&N UK product) is slightly lighter but almost identical to Magners. Recently Tesco have stopped stocking Magners altogether in preference to Bulmers Original due to the increase in customer demand for the product. Magners is made by Bulmers Ireland which is a different company and is a different product and as such cannot use the Bulmers brand name on UK mainland due to copyright infringements. S & N UK bought Bulmers in summer 2004 and owns the Bulmers name and redeveloped an old product for launch this year using the brand name.

You may be right then Una, but my boyfriend insists they are made by different company's. Perhaps we shall have to do taste off to investigate the matter further :)

Well they're definitely made at the same place....not far from where I live at home and the sign says makers of Bulmers, Magners, Britvic and something else I can't remember! :-) Their orchards are humungous in size, never saw anything like it when they're in bloom!
And the ad for Magners on British TV is the exact same as the one for Bulmers on Irish TV, but with the name changed!
It's very strange...

Not quite Una, but almost. Magner's is an Irish cider but they call it Bulmers in Ireland. There is also an English brand of cider called Bulmers. So thats why the Irish Bulmers is called Magners everywhere else. It's all very confusing, especially after you have had a few :)
