Thanks for your feedback. My experience wasn’t bad, so please don’t think that. I just didn’t think the service matched up to the food. As I said I wouldn’t let that stop me visiting again. But if you can get the servers up to the same standard as the food, then things will be even better.

Hello, i’m SH , Chef de cuisine of Okitchen itaewon. i ‘ m so sorry about your bad experience at Okitchen. i really appologize about that. i’ll talk about this situation to all the okitchen’s staff and never gonna be happed the situation like this. i’ll make it right.

The service wasn’t bad per say, it just wasn’t good. I have had fine dining dinners where the service has been so impeccable that’s it’s almost outshone the food. As you can see below others have had a better time, so I wouldn’t discourage you to not go, just something to bear in mind.

In Itaewon, Le Saint-Ex is definitely better in terms of the quality of food and value for money. I find OKitchen overpriced and the portions tiny. Service isn’t very good.

I’m sorry you had such terrible service. It can really change the course of a meal, and actually make the food taste less appealing. Lonely Planet had this as their Top Choice in Itaewon. The food looks fantastic, but if the service is less than desirable, I might wait on it.

i am shocked u were subjected to such mediocre service. but the chef has been hiring some new people. the last time i went, there was a new guy serving our food and he was a nervous mess and skipped out a lot on the descriptions. but it was ok since at least he tried. i’m also surprised they did not serve u their famous cornbread. i guess it’s not part of the bread basket anymore…so sad! but i love this place so much. i sometimes just go here by myself to have their carbonara and a glass of white. they make the best carbonara (the real italian one with no cream) in korea

Maybe it was just an off night. As I said in the review they were able to tell us when we asked, but for fine dining you shouldn’t really have to ask.

I think the kitchen staff take turns doing the front of house service so they should be able to explain the dishes very well.

Maybe it was just our one server who was awesome! It wasn’t a girl so it was definitely somebody else. Hope your next experience is better! :)
