Since it opened earlier this summer I have been dying to go to Vinegar Yard by London Bridge Station. The small faux grassed area is a mix of market stalls and food trucks, but the reason for this visit was that I was invited down to give Sugo a try. Stay tuned to the end I also have a free dinner for four to give away too!

Sugo is an Italian food truck specializing in Italian street food. Unlike the whole world who seems to have gone keto (Chubby Hubby included) the Sugo menu is carbs galore. Since there are only half a dozen options we decided to get one of everything.

First up are the Sugo Sandiches (£6.75). There are three varieties available: Pesto Chicken, Melting Meatballs, and Nonna’s Broccoli. We ordered the first two and found them incredibly filling. These things are huge so unless you are a big eater be sure to split one. The chicken was in plenty of pesto which was flavourful, while the meatballs were in a tangy tomato sauce and topped with oodles of parmesan. If you are off bread you can also get it with rice and salad instead.

On to the sides. They have two kinds of Arancini available and we ordered both. The Tomato & Mozzarella (£3.85) was a deep fried and sticky delight, however it was the Mushroom & Black truffle Arancini (£4.50) that was the star of the show though. The outside was crispy, but the rice inside ultra creamy and really set off when dipped in the mushroom and truffle dip. It was beyond good. Lastly we ordered the Loaded Chickpea fries (£3.85) which were topped with white truffle aioli, sundried tomato sauce and Parmesan. I love chickpea fries, they have so much favour and a lovely nutty texture. With the toppings they were just the business. Do not miss out on ordering these!

So I bet you are wondering how on earth you can win yourself a dinner for four at Sugo, well it’s super easy. Just Go to the corresponding post on my Instagram or Facebook account and follow the instructions. You can enter on both platforms for double the chance to win. Good luck to everyone the winner will be announced next Friday on October 25th.

Sugo is located at 2-82 St Thomas St, London SE1 3QU . The nearest tube station is London Bridge. For more information you can check out their website. The truck is open everyday from 12pm – 9pm.
